Jazz for the Gulf

This Saturday, July 31, 2010, Tree Lawn's own Karrin Allyson will be performing at Jazz for the Gulf. This concert will be directly benefiting Gulf Aid, a non profit organization who's mission is to provide relief to the fishing community of the Gulf Coast and their families, and to restore and protect the wetlands of the coast. All of the proceeds from this concert, held at One Eyed Jack's in New Orleans, will go to benefiting this organization.

Tree Lawn Artists' in JazzTimes and All About Jazz

This month, Tree Lawn Artists congratulates two of our artists on being featured in JazzTimes and All About Jazz. CHARLIE HUNTER had an outstanding review in the July/August issue of JazzTimes magazine, while MARCO BENEVENTO was interviewed on All About Jazz discussing his newest release Between the Needles and Nightfall. Chuck Brown New Release

After an exciting holiday weekend for Chuck Brown, who was at Ram's Head in Annapolis and performed with The Roots in Philadelphia on Independence Day, there's more to look forward to from the "godfather of go-go". Chuck's newest album is currently being mastered and will be released at the end of September. Highlights include duets with Jill Scott and Ledisi, as well as a guest performance by Marcus Miller on 2 of the tracks. As an added bonus the new album will also include a full live concert DVD.
