51st Annual GRAMMY Nominees Announced

Nominations for the 51st Annual GRAMMY Awards were announced today by The Recording Academy at which two Tree Lawn Artists were nominated in three categories. Congratulations to the Yellowjackets feat. Mike Stern, and to Karrin Allyson!

Here is a list of the Tree Lawn nominees and the respective categories in which they were nominated:

Congratulations also go out to Christian McBride who appears as part of the recent Pat Metheny Trio recording, Day Trip [Nonesuch], nominated for Category 48 - Best Jazz Instrumental Album, Individual or Group.

APAP Showcases

Showcase performances at the 2008 Arts Presenters (APAP) conference in NYC January 11-15 have been arranged for the YELLOWJACKETS with Mike Stern, JESSE HARRIS, SASHA DOBSON, RICHARD JULIAN and SWATI, and more are soon to be confirmed. Stay tuned for more info and come take a sampling if you can.

Yellowjackets Summer Tour 2007

The YELLOWJACKETS buzz into summer festival season with an unprecedented number of appearances, from biggies like the Montreal Jazz Festival (appearing there on June 28) to regional festivals such as the Flint (Michigan) Jazz Festival (August 3), Musikfest in Allentown, PA (August 4) and the Wine and Jazz Fest in Vancouver, WA (August 26). The band even makes it out as far as Latvia for the July 4 jazz festival there. Festivals in Sweden (June 30), Denmark (July 9 and 10), Carson City, NV (August 18), Anacortes, WA (September 3), and Savannah, GA (September 28) will also feature the YELLOWJACKETS. Try to catch them.

Tree Lawn welcomes the Yellowjackets
